Howard’s Undergraduate Student Assembly (UGSA) gave a surprise sneak peek of this year’s Springfest during a Mogul Master Class Reception with Tarik Brooks, President of Combs Global, this Thursday, Feb. 23.

UGSA and executives from the School of Business and School of Communications announced Springfest 2023: Renaissance will occur from April 10 to April 15.

UGSA Executive Coordinator, Stephen Spence named junior, Joey Louis III as the Sprinfest 2023 chair. Louis III detailed the week’s events  as follows:

Monday, April 10: YardTalk

Tuesday, April 11: Talent Showcase

Wednesday, April 12: Truth and Service Basketball game

Thursday, April 13: Black Women Empowerment Expo

Friday, April 14: Springfest Concert held in Greene Stadium for the first time

Saturday, April 15: Fashion Show

Inspired by the Harlem Renaissance, this year’s festivities will reimagine Howard’s image. “We’ve all heard about the Harlem Renaissance, but what about the Howard renaissance?” said Spence.

While the biggest question, who is performing for the Springfest concert, has yet to be answered. UGSA confirmed there are ‘big’ plans in the works for this year.

“As we enter this period of rebirth, of culture at Howard, we are excited to present that through our partnerships with Warner Music Center, Revolt, YouTube, and a few others. We are excited to present this year's biggest Spingfest,” said Spence.
